Job title: Equipment Operator
About the Role The Equipment Operator supports Owens & Minor's distribution operations by receiving, unloading, picking, sorting, and loading product using RF/WMS technology. This full-time position on the 3:30pm shift emphasizes accuracy, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What You'll Do
- Receive and unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers using pallet jack; count and verify product with RF or Voice Pick Technology and document variances.
- Perform LUM Picking and picking using Voice Pick Technology and RF scanners; place items into totes on conveyor belts and remove empty cartons as needed.
- Prepare sortation area, arrange pallets and carts, and move cartons/totes to pallets or carts according to batch.
- Load totes, pallets, and carts onto trucks for delivery using RF scanners and pallet jack; ensure correct loading.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment; follow safety policies; conduct inventories and perform basic math calculations; support additional duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- General knowledge of basic topics (math, reading, typing) and prior warehouse/distribution experience a plus; warehouse/operations certification a plus.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions; thrive in a fast-paced, team environment; meet performance and attendance expectations.
- Good attention to detail; dependable with regular attendance; willingness to learn WMS Technology and new material handling equipment; adherence to SOPs for safety.
Nice to Have
- Warehouse/Operations certification is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.00 per hour.
