Equipment Operator

About the Role Owens & Minor is seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team in Allentown, PA. This role performs warehouse tasks with limited reliance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and supports inbound/outbound shipments with accuracy and safety. The position offers a pay rate of $20/hour with multiple shifts and mandatory overtime.

What You'll Do

• Perform warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and with occasional use of equipment listed (e.g., cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack).
• Unload, receive, and process inbound shipments. Perform bin replenishment, move product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepare pick locations.
• Accurately pick, pack, sort and load outbound products in accordance with customer specifications.
• Receiving: Unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack. Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using RF equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.
• Bulk picking: Select products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and place in totes or on a pallet.
• Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually loaded carts.
• Sortation: Prepare sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product; move cartons and totes from conveyors/rollers to pallets/carts according to batch.
• Loading: Use RF scanner to ensure totes/pallets/carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for delivery; use pallet jack to load pallets.
• General: Follow procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment, comply with safety policies, place incoming merchandise into inventory, and conduct physical inventories as required.

What We're Looking For

• MUST HAVE MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE, including cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.
• Ability to unload inbound pallets manually using pallet jack; accurately count, verify, and receive products using RF or Voice Pick Technology; document variances.
• Comfortable performing duties in a fast-paced warehouse environment; basic math and data entry using RF devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and accuracy.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $20/hour.
• Shifts: Multiple shifts available, all with mandatory overtime. Example shifts include Monday–Friday 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and Sunday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM plus Monday–Thursday 11:00 AM–7:30 PM (off Friday/Saturday).
