About the Role Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Team Member in Ellabell, GA to maintain and repair production machinery, ensure system integrity, and support safety and efficiency on the plant floor. What You'll Do
- Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions; dismantle equipment to access problem areas using hand and power tools.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components including PLCs and control devices, material handling systems, and lubrication systems; follow blueprints and specs; use precision measuring tools.
- Inspect and measure parts for wear/misalignment; remove and replace worn parts of drive or hydraulic systems per schematics and manuals.
- Realign and adjust motors, gearboxes, clutches, and brakes; locate and install new air/hydraulic pipes with measured cuts.
- Repair broken metal parts using cutting, brazing, soldering, welding; operate related tools.
- Modify computer-controlled motion including robots using PLCs, robot controllers, and teach pendants.
- Read blueprints and drawings to ensure system integrity; assist with sketches or computer-generated designs for hydraulic and drive components.
- Set up and operate metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) to make repair parts.
- Start machines after repair to test operation; operate powered equipment per HMMA standards.
- Participate in shift rotations and overtime as needed; comply with BMS/EMS/SMS requirements.
- Follow safety, quality, and attendance expectations. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2-year Technical Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electricity, or Industrial Electronics preferred.
- 1–3 years related experience preferred with skills in electricity, PLCs, HVAC, plumbing, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, schematics, CNC programming, robotics, servos.
- Domestic/international travel may be required. Nice to Have
- 2-year Technical Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electricity, or Industrial Electronics preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $33.14/hr (non-exempt/hourly).
