A ePWT GBE Procurement Buyer at Garrett Motion Inc. in Shanghai, China, manages sourcing, supplier relationships, and purchasing for electric powertrain (ePWT) global business enterprise (GBE) systems in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Collect, monitor, and validate supplier capacity data, and act as a Key Supplier Contact when delegated.
- Procurement Operations: Handle purchasing execution, track deliveries, and manage order adjustments or change requests.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance teams on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Cost & Performance Optimization: Negotiate commercial terms, validate charge-backs, and support continuous cost-reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Several years in automotive procurement.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with electric eAxle systems, Electric Drive Units (EDUs), and e-powertrain technology is a strong plus.
- Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/SAP systems.
