About the Role The Johannesburg Metrobus Service is offering EPWP opportunities to unemployed South African citizens for a program lasting up to 12 months. Roles available include EPWP Team Leader and EPWP General Worker, based at Metrobus depots and outlets in Johannesburg. Successful candidates will sign an internship agreement in addition to an employment contract and participate in educational and workplace assignments in line with policy. What You'll Do
- Support either EPWP Team Leader or General Worker duties at Metrobus depots/outlets in Johannesburg, under Corporate Services (CS) and Integrated Business Operations (IBO).
- Participate in all educational and workplace assignments and comply with laid-down policies and procedures.
- Contribute to operational tasks as assigned while maintaining safety and quality standards. What We're Looking For
- South African citizen residing in City of Johannesburg Municipality with proof of address, currently unemployed.
- Age 18 to 50.
- Team Leader role: Grade 12 / Matric; Post Matric qualification advantageous.
- General Worker role: Minimum Grade 10 and NCV Level 4.
- Willingness to participate in EPWP programme and sign internship agreement. Nice to Have
- Post-matric qualifications are advantageous (especially for Team Leader). Compensation & Benefits
- Team Leader: R6,000.00 per month; General Worker: R5,500.00 per month.
- Program duration up to 12 months; on-site at Metrobus depots and outlets.
- Internship agreement will be signed in addition to an employment contract, with participation in educational/workplace activities as per policy.
