Job title: Environmental, Health & Safety Supervisor - Branch Operations
About the Role Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of the assigned branch including transportation, warehouse and tank farm and for ensuring compliance with corporate health, safety, and environmental policies. Supports branch performance, safety programs, incident investigations, and collaboration with the Branch Operations Manager.
What You'll Do
- Ensure daily safe, compliant operations across transportation, warehouse, and tank farm.
- Facilitate compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies; complete required training and documentation.
- Conduct safety audits; assist with timely incident investigations and communicate root causes with corrective actions.
- Update upper management on branch performance, costs, productivity, and industry-related trends.
- Supervise branch staff; conduct pre-shift meetings; ensure tools and training are provided.
- Oversee drug testing and medical surveillance as required.
- Assist with branch administration, budgeting, and customer service to meet orders cost-effectively.
- Manage inventory controls and supervise repack and transportation in UVX2000.
- Support process improvement and safety culture initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience; 3-5 years operations experience.
- Proven supervisory leadership; ability to communicate with, support, and motivate employees to achieve operational objectives.
- Knowledge of chemical distribution and UNIVAR Standard Operating Procedures; understanding of cGMP as applicable to the facility.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities; experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT or related governmental requirements; ability to navigate regulatory environments.
- Ability to operate all warehouse equipment and respond to emergency situations.
- Basic understanding of UVX2000; HazMat certification or Hazwoper Certification is optional.
