Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator

About the Role Alstom is seeking a full-time Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator in Toronto, ON to support the day-to-day administration of our Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems. The role focuses on maintaining documentation, coordinating training, and assisting on-site safety initiatives to foster a safe and compliant workplace. You'll work with project teams, site crews, and office staff to ensure information accuracy and drive safety programs. What You'll Do

• Maintain up-to-date safety information boards (digital and physical).
• Prepare attendance lists and minutes for meetings including Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
• Support EHS training bookings, scheduling, and facility arrangements.
• Assist in planning events such as safety stand-downs and EHS campaigns.
• Prepare monthly KPIs, reports, and statistics.
• Maintain employee training records, including proof of training, expiry dates, and training matrices.
• Conduct office EHS inspections and maintain office risk assessments.
• Support PPE and safety supply inventory management.
• Participate in initiatives such as mental health committees and ergonomics improvements.
• Provide administrative support for health and safety claims and inquiries.
• Occasional travel to site visits / safety inspections for professional development. What We're Looking For
• Completion of formal university or college education.
• First experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Knowledge of Canadian EHS legislation.
• Familiarity with the construction industry (asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and agility to learn other software systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to travel to construction sites occasionally.
• Developed soft skills: initiative, teamwork, communication, and service-mindedness.
• Responsible and honest approach to work. Nice to Have
• Familiarity with the construction industry (asset). Compensation & Benefits
• The expected compensation for this role is CAD 75,000 – 90,000 per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
