Job title: Environmental Analyst III - Sr Lead
About the Role Environmental Analyst III - Sr Lead in Entergy's Centralized Environmental Services will serve as a CEMS SME to support emissions monitoring activities fleet-wide, ensuring compliance with the Clean Air Act and related regulations. This is a hybrid role and involves collaboration with multiple teams and external agencies. This is a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
What You'll Do
- Serve as an enterprise-wide CEMS SME for environmental laws and regulations under the CAA, including 40 CFR Part 75, Part 60, and Part 63.
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, plans, and test protocols for regulatory compliance reporting.
- Review and assemble initial/recurring performance test data (RATA, Linearity, CGA, 7-Day Calibration, Opacity Calibration Error Test, PM Testing, etc.) to prepare system certification submittals.
- Complete and submit quarterly EDRs and monitoring plan updates in EPA ECMPS.
- Oversee data acquisition handling systems (DAHS).
- Guide troubleshooting of CEMS hardware (analyzers and related equipment).
- Partner with Environmental Operational Support and Environmental Project Services to ensure regulatory compliance and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Provide regulatory analysis of complex rules pertaining to CEMS affecting Entergy operations.
- Draft and distribute concise written communications; interface with state/federal agencies to reach favorable solutions.
- Engage with industry groups such as EEI, EPRI, and ESC User Group.
- Participate in other environmental duties and special projects as assigned.
- Manage records and documentation per the records retention policy.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate as a team member in environmental system outage emergency operations and restoration for major storm events.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a CEMS SME and comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations under the Clean Air Act (CAA) and related programs (e.g., 40 CFR Part 75/60/63).
- Ability to develop QA/QC procedures, test plans, and QA/QC protocols in line with federal/state compliance requirements.
- Experience reviewing and assembling performance test data (RATA, Linearity, CGA, 7-Day Calibration, Opacity/PM tests) for system certifications and submittals.
- Experience completing and submitting EDRs and monitoring plan updates in ECMPS; familiarity with DAHS.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with DAHS, ECMPS, and environmental data systems; familiarity with ESC and StackVision is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for CEMS hardware and related equipment.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to assess regulatory compliance and mitigate risks.
- Proven regulatory analysis skills and ability to communicate complex rules clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interface with state/federal agencies and industry groups.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- ESC and StackVision experience.
