Job title: Enviromental Services Tech - Full Time
About the Role Bay Area Hospital seeks an Enviromental Services Tech to support a clean, sanitary and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. This on-site role is part of Environmental Services and ensures high standards of hygiene throughout the facility.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, wet/dry vacuums, trash compactors).
- Demonstrate strong English reading/writing skills and effective interdepartmental/public communication.
- Respect confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and adhere to safety protocols; may be required to travel between locations.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 months of experience performing commercial cleaning; healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
- Reads/writes English; ability to communicate with diverse teams and the public; maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds; stand, climb, stoop, bend frequently; tolerate exposure to chemicals and bio-hazardous materials; wear protective clothing as required.
- Current Oregon Driver’s license preferred.
Nice to Have
- Healthcare cleaning experience is a plus.
- UFCW union affiliation (not a requirement).
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Grade: UFCW; rate is dependent on experience with minimum/maximum not specified in posting.
