About the Role The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invites unemployed youth to apply for government entry-level positions, including E-scheduler Clerk, Secretary to the Director: Finance and Registry Clerk. These roles are based in Gauteng, North West and Western Cape with salaries of R228,321 – R268,950 per year. What You'll Do
- E-scheduler Clerk: Capture all new cases on the E-Scheduler system and other court books daily; conduct charge sheets and data integrity audits; provide administrative support as required by management; safeguard of charge sheets, keys to cabinets, stationery and computers.
- Secretary to the Director: Finance: Provide secretarial/receptionist and clerical support to the manager; provide support to the manager regarding meetings; handle basic documentation and office tasks.
- Registry Clerk: Provide Registry Counter Services; handle incoming and outgoing correspondence; render an effective filing and record management service; operate office machines related to the Registry function; process documents for archiving and disposal. What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification; for Secretary role, typing as a subject or Secretarial Certificate.
- Knowledge of computer literacy and planning/organising; good interpersonal relations and language skills; effective verbal and written communication; numeracy.
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet; presentation skills; problem solving; teamwork; self-management; customer service orientation; technical proficiency.
- Typing skills (intermediate to high speed) and ability to type more advanced documents including tables and graphs. Nice to Have
- Secretarial Certificate; high-speed typing; experience with presentation equipment; ability to interpret relevant documentation and prepare documents with tables/graphs. Compensation & Benefits
