About the Role VALCE T@lent Solutions is seeking an entry-level Cyber Security Engineer to investigate and defend against cybersecurity incidents, including credential theft phishing attacks, domain abuse, and business email compromise (BEC) attacks, as well as other threats in the digital risk landscape. You'll be part of a relaxed work environment with a dedicated team at a growing company. What You'll Do
- Monitor internal proprietary detection systems for new attacks and validate detected threats.
- Monitor client and their customers' attack reports.
- Analyze potential attack vectors and explore resolution options.
- Build relationships with partnering providers and clients alike.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to better protect and serve our clients.
- Utilize tools and scripting (DNS tools, WhoIs records, open-source tools, Bash, Go, Python, Linux, and more). What We're Looking For
- Passion for information and cyber security; entry-level position as an opportunity to grow.
- Relevant education or experience relating to the IT industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of Internet inner workings such as IP subnetting, DNS, zone files, TLDs, HTTP, SMTP, etc.
- Knowledge of common internet attack vectors.
- Familiarity with basic scripting and Linux is a plus (Bash, Python, Go).
