About the Role Entry-level mechanical/electrical engineering role based in Auburn Hills, MI, focused on automotive electrical systems and vehicle development. You will collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team and learn to apply engineering processes, standards, and best practices. What You'll Do
- Assist in the design and development of automotive electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
- Support vehicle packaging and physical routing concepts; work with EBOM, Teamcenter, NX and other CAD/PLM tools.
- Learn and apply engineering processes, standards, and best practices; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and contribute to quality and problem-solving efforts. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (ABET-accredited).
- 0–3 years of experience in automotive, electrical, or product engineering (including internships/co-ops).
- Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems; exposure to wiring harnesses or vehicle development is a plus.
- Familiarity with EBOM, Teamcenter, NX or other CAD/PLM tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills; eager to learn and grow.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail. Nice to Have
- Internship or co-op experience in automotive/manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of wiring harness design or electrical distribution.
- Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, or automotive product development processes.
