Job Description
To drive sales growth of Funeral Plans and Life Insurance within Personal Banking through proactive outbound telesales and virtual client engagement. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on identifying client protection needs, converting sales opportunities into appropriate insurance solutions and consistently achieving defined sales and cross-sell targets, while delivering a positive client experience and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively sell and cross-sell Funeral Plans and Life Insurance products through outbound telesales and virtual client engagement.
- Identify client insurance and protection needs through effective questioning, product recommendations and needs-based sales conversations.
- Execute outbound sales campaigns, engage prospective and existing clients and convert opportunities into successful insurance sales.
- Clearly explain insurance product features, benefits, premiums and policy conditions, ensuring clients make informed decisions.
- Accurately capture and process insurance applications, maintain client records and track sales performance in line with FAIS, compliance and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- National Certificate in Banking (NQF 5), FAIS-recognised, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Must meet the applicable FAIS Fit and Proper requirements for the role.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months' continuous experience in a target-driven telesales or outbound sales environment, preferably within banking, insurance or financial services.
- Experience engaging clients telephonically, identifying sales opportunities and promoting products or services.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets, handle objections and convert client conversations into successful sales.
- Basic understanding of insurance products, particularly Funeral Plans and Life Insurance, would be advantageous.
- Experience working with sales targets, conversion rates, customer relationship management systems and sales reporting.
