Job title: Enterprise Strategy Portfolio Lead
About the Role Lead the enterprise portfolio of initiatives critical to mission success as part of the Enterprise Strategy department. This fully remote role leads cross-functional programs, partners with executive leadership, and ensures high-performing, measurable results across the portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of an enterprise initiative portfolio management approach cascading from the strategic plan; build and track the portfolio; interface with initiative leaders and cross-functional teams across the enterprise.
- Lead or advise on initiative design, teaming, and implementation; oversee complex enterprise-wide initiatives using project management, agile, lean, and change management methodologies.
- Develop and oversee the initiative portfolio's performance framework, cascading from the organizational performance framework; connect portfolio results to board or executive scorecards and leadership dashboards.
- Act as part of a flexible internal consulting function, partnering with the entire Enterprise Strategy department to manage and prioritize requests and complete end-to-end work.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in nonprofit management, strategy, and/or project management, preferably in a health and human services nonprofit.
- 10+ years of collaborative leadership including engagement of senior and executive leaders.
- Strong knowledge of American Cancer Society programs, strategies and organizational infrastructure or equivalent experience operating in a complex nonprofit or for-profit environment.
- 3+ years of experience in organizational performance, performance scorecards, KPI/OKR development, and metrics reporting; technical skill with data reporting and visualization tools.
- 3+ years of direct experience leading end-to-end complex enterprise-wide initiatives, including design, leadership, and change management; technical skill with project management tools.
- 3+ years of experience designing and facilitating meetings of 3-200+ attendees across leadership levels.
- Proven leadership experience such as building coalitions and leading through influence; ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Travel: Limited travel up to 10%.
- Physical requirements: work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in MBA, MA in Nonprofit Management, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with nonprofit health/human services and data analytics tools; familiarity with reporting or similar.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary range: $120,000 to $135,000 per year.
