Description

The Enrollment Coordinator will support the recruitment efforts of Samford School of the Arts and the Director, School of the Arts Enrollment Management through direct student contact, on- and off-campus event support, and operational assistance.

Job Duties
-
Serve as a host for arts specific campus visitors
-
Assist in the planning, preparation and execution of on-campus arts-specific recruitment events

Communicate directly with prospective arts students and their families via email, phone, text messaging, mail, and virtual platforms (e.g. Zoom)

Participate in off campus recruitment events including conferences, high school visits, and competitions as needed

Log all contacts and interactions accurately using Slate
-
Provide assistance and support to the Director, School of the Arts Enrollment Management

Represent Samford, and Samford School of the Arts well in all things
Qualifications
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Knowledge of event planning and execution
-
An ability to engage in conversations about faith and the University's mission in a professional and appropriate manner
-
A background in performing or visual arts or a demonstrated commitment to arts education
-
High School Diploma
-
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekend, or holidays as needed.
-
Ability to lift, push and pull equipment weighing 50 to 100 pounds.

Capacity to maintain physical and mental focus during long shifts.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours continuously.
-
Ability to tolerate loud noises/flashing lights, and theatrical haze.

Ability to traverse campus for large distances on a regular basis.

Ability to attend in person, virtual, and telephone meetings and to communicate clearly and verbal and in writing.

Ability to work continuously throughout the day, remaining in a seated position for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications
-
Undergraduate degree, ideally in performing or visual arts
-
Experience with university admissions CRM platforms ideally Slate
