About the Role
The Enrollment Coach for WBU Hawaii represents Wayland Baptist University in Hawaii to prospective and current students, focused on recruiting, enrolling, and retaining students across undergraduate and graduate programs. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional engagement through phone, email, text, campus tours, and information sessions, both virtually and in-person. The position entails market-focused travel and active collaboration with campus staff to convert applicants and promote student retention.
What You'll Do
- Focus on Hawaii market for undergraduate and graduate recruitment.
- Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders: current students, prospective students, parents, alumni, trustees, and other university departments.
- Travel occasionally within the market to host programs, education fairs, campus visits, and other activities to drive student engagement, including military bases where the campus has offices.
- Create and maintain organizations/associations contact lists to promote WBU and schedule presentations.
- Manage admission processes through the Slate platform, including responding to RFIs.
- Provide information about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, student life, and other aspects of Wayland to students and families.
- Collaborate with undergraduate and graduate Academic Advisors to convert applicants by helping submit required documentation and motivate registration for courses.
- Promote retention by assisting first-time WBU Hawaii students during their first course session.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
What We're Looking For
- Education: An Associate degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience and Knowledge: Two years of proven office experience required; experience in marketing and recruiting for a higher education institution is a plus.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral, written, analytical and interpersonal communication; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; independent problem solving, self-direction, and strong time management; proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint; ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with tact and professionalism.
