About the Role
An Enrolled Nurse in Theatre is responsible for direct and indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients, functioning under the direct and/or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, in line with the scope of practise for Enrolled Nurses.
What You'll Do
- Plan, organize, assess, and prioritize work to ensure efficient completion of tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Drive quality of care by maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and clean environment for patients, families, doctors, and staff, free from medico-legal hazards.
- Document patient care accurately in patient and department records, including progress on patients’ condition.
- Foster a positive patient experience by delivering holistic, patient-centered service.
- Adhere to Lean management principles to reduce wastage without compromising patient care.
- Participate as a team member and contribute toward the achievement of unit goals.
- What We're Looking For
- Grade 12
- Enrolled Nursing qualification
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- BLS qualification
- 3+ years’ relevant nursing experience in Theatre
- Experience within a private hospital environment advantageous
- Computer proficiency advantageous
- Nice to Have
