About the Role The Department of English in the College of Arts and Humanities at Pennsylvania Western University is seeking qualified applicants to teach first-year composition courses, introductory literature courses, and/or intermediate writing courses during the 2022-2023 academic year. All positions are contingent on enrollment. Courses may be taught online and/or face-to-face at the following locations: Clarion campus, Venango (Oil City), Edinboro campus, California campus, and West Penn (Pittsburgh).
What You'll Do
- Teach first-year composition courses, introductory literature courses, and/or intermediate writing courses.
- In online positions, teach asynchronously.
- May teach online and/or face-to-face at multiple campuses: Clarion, Venango (Oil City), Edinboro, California, West Penn.
- Positions contingent on enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic year.
What We're Looking For
- A master's degree in English or closely related field.
- Candidates for online positions must have experience teaching asynchronously.
- Preferred: experience teaching first-year writing.
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching first-year writing (preferred).
