Engineering Technician
Our client is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance activities at their Londonderry, NH facility. This hands-on role is perfect for a technically proficient team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Technician
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production, test, and facility equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency
- Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained and critical components are available
- Support engineers with equipment development, process improvements, and testing activities
- Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and automation projects
- Create and update documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
- Support manufacturing and production teams in resolving technical issues
Qualifications of the Engineering Technician
- Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, industrial operations, or engineering support
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
