About the Role You are a strong technical leader who inspires and guides development teams to deliver exceptional results. As an Engineering Technical Lead at Modus Digital, you will drive architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable digital products, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate with a global team to deliver smart, innovative digital solutions, including mobile apps, intranets, responsive websites, APIs, and other cutting-edge products.

What You'll Do

• Technical Leadership, Direction & Mentorship: Lead the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable digital products.
• Drive technical direction, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
• Integrate large language models and retrieval augmented generation systems into functional applications.
• Lead code reviews and uphold high standards for code quality, performance, and security.
• Mentor and support engineers through coaching, pairing, and constructive feedback.
• Hands-on Execution: Contribute hands-on to the codebase while guiding architectural decisions and best practices.
• Review wireframes/design mockups and prototypes and ensure their feasibility.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver user-centered experiences; attend daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear insights.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through iteration, experimentation, and innovation.

What We're Looking For

• 6–10+ years of experience in software design and development with a strong full-stack background.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend and backend technologies (e.g., React, Node.js, .NET, Java or similar).
• Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, and scalable application design.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth.
• Experience with AI and agentic systems and technology is a strong plus.
• You are located in Buenos Aires and are willing to work from our office at least 2 times a month (hybrid schedule).

• Experience with large language models and retrieval augmented generation systems.
