About the Role The 2027 Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) - Materials Track at Caterpillar is designed for entry-level Materials Engineering professionals. As part of the ERDP - Materials track, you will rotate through three 12-month assignments within the Advanced Materials Technology organization, primarily located in the Midwest United States, building technical abilities and contributing to Caterpillar’s mission. The program offers exposure to paths including Ferrous Metallurgy, Failure Analysis, Quality Engineering, and Heat Treat Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Participate in three 12-month rotations within the Advanced Materials Technology organization, located primarily in the Midwest United States.
- Work on meaningful projects and connect with mentors to build technical abilities.
- Explore several potential track paths, including Ferrous Metallurgy, Failure Analysis, Quality Engineering, and Heat Treat Engineering.
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level Materials Engineering professional.
- Completed a Caterpillar Students & Graduates assignment within the previous 24 months.
- Willing to rotate through multiple assignments and develop skills in materials engineering.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
