About the Role Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. The Engineering Manager - Solutions Engineering will partner with customers and internal teams to drive adoption of Canonical's open source solutions, supporting enterprise-scale deployments worldwide from a remote location.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Engineers to design, demonstrate, and deliver customer-ready solutions based on Canonical's open source software and Ubuntu platform.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate customer needs into scalable technical architectures across cloud, data science, AI, engineering, and IoT use cases.
- Represent Canonical in customer engagements, respond to RFPs, and help establish customer success plans.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or similar role.
- Strong background in cloud platforms, data science, AI, engineering innovation, IoT, and open source technologies, with familiarity with Ubuntu.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to influence at executive levels.
