About the Role At Playlist, you will lead the engineering team responsible for SmartDesk, an AI-powered front desk assistant for wellness businesses. As an engineering manager, you’ll translate cutting-edge AI capabilities into reliable, production-ready products that streamline communications and workflows.
What You'll Do
- Lead and empower a high-performing engineering team to deliver impactful technical solutions.
- Manage the team end-to-end: recruiting top talent, mentoring, and supporting career growth.
- Shape the technical vision and strategy for SmartDesk, balancing rapid innovation with robust engineering practices.
- Drive product development through close collaboration with product, data, and applied AI teams.
- Make critical architectural decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term flexibility.
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and help evolve Playlist's technical capabilities.
- Establish clear goals, prioritize resources, and guide execution through ambiguous challenges.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 6+ members.
- Proven track record designing and scaling AI-powered SaaS products in B2B2C environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with comfort across React, C#.
- Deep expertise in transforming AI capabilities into production-ready, reliable systems.
- Excellent communication of complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in establishing technical vision and driving measurable outcomes.
- Experience with modern AI development tools and frameworks.
- Passion for building diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: USD 151,275 – 201,700 annually.
- Potential performance bonus, benefits, and other incentive compensation plans.
