Job title: Engineering Manager (P16) – North East Grid
About the Role Eskom seeks an Engineering Manager (P16) for the North East Grid, based in Mpumalanga (Witbank). The role is permanent with market-related remuneration. The incumbent will develop and support technology strategies, processes, standards, specifications and designs, and will collaborate with senior and middle engineering managers, project delivery managers, procurement, SCOT, asset management, CoE and research professionals, and metro/municipal technical managers.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate senior, middle and relevant engineering managers, as well as project delivery managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with Procurement managers and participate in the Steering Committee of Technology (SCOT).
- Support asset management, Center of Excellence (CoE) and research senior professionals.
- Engage with metro and municipal technical managers to align technology and engineering initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Qualification(s): BSc/BEng in Engineering (NQF8) with 480 credits.
- Experience: 4 years of technical experience.
- Professional Registration: ECSA as a professional engineer.
- Knowledge: related technologies; design codes and standards; engineering theory; relevant processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and legislation; engineering design; technical problem solving.
- Skills: Analytical; Cost analysis/economic evaluation; Communication; Presentation; Technical report writing.
- Behavioral: Strong drive to learn; results and delivery focused; integrity; professionalism; safety consciousness.
