Job title: Engineering Manager
About the Role As Engineering Manager at Molex Guadalajara (DSS division), you will lead a high-performing engineering team and drive strategic projects from concept through execution. You will ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while partnering with R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams and indirect functional groups to deliver innovative solutions and process improvements.
- Manage engineering projects end-to-end, including NPI/PLUS, new process development, machinery qualification, and project startups from scratch.
- Analyze and optimize capex and opex, forecast needs, and drive reductions in cycle times.
- Oversee process characterization, apply statistical models, and influence process improvements.
- Train and develop team members, including superintendents and supervisors, fostering a culture of transformation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely project execution.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong experience with business/client lines, process analysis, and advanced SMT/semiconductor/aerospace environments.
- Proficient in English (C1 level).
- Demonstrated skills in root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and process improvement.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA) or professional certification (PE, PMP).
- Experience in high-precision placement, electronics, optics engineering, and semiconductor industries.
- Proficiency with CAD software, engineering simulation tools, and knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Experience in NPI/PLUS, process development, and supplier management.
- Track record in team transformation, training, and implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
