About the Role
Engineering Manager in Product Validation to lead product testing and verification activities for Copper Solutions Business Unit at Molex TDC. The role involves executing test procedures, design verification, and working with a global team and diverse stakeholders to validate electromechanical products and connector/harness assemblies.
What You'll Do
- Lead, conduct, perform, summarize and report product verification and testing activities.\
- Develop and execute validation plans covering protocol compliance, interoperability, performance, stress, and regression testing scenarios.\
- Collaborate and understand product functionality and perform functional and performance testing related to mechanical reliability (such as temperature, vibration, cable pull and bend testing, connector insertion and mating, etc) and electrical performance (such as Signal Integrity and continuity, impedance and contact resistance, etc)\
- Follow instructions clearly from Design engineers during Test execution. Interacts with Design team to resolve technical issues\
- Plan Lab logistics and maintain the material supply for testing requirements.\
- Diagnose, isolate, and investigate problem reports and defects.\
- Work with external vendors and test houses to outsource testing and procure fixtures\
- Ensure good manufacturing and fixturing practices are followed in the Verification Process\
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective / Preventive action as needed
What We're Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.\
- About 5 years in Product Verification testing and performance testing.\
- Relevant durability and reliability testing experience of electro-mechanical products.\
- Understanding of test methods and processes as well as the methods used to verify products in the areas of mechanical, electrical, functional testing environments.\
- Basic hands-on experience in data analysis of Performance testing and Sample size calculations
