Rockwell Automation is seeking an Engineering Manager – Hardware to lead a high-performing team responsible for the development of industrial control products, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), I/O systems, and communication devices. In this role, you will manage a team of hardware engineers and technicians delivering products from concept through release—managing requirements, architecture, design execution, certification, and production readiness. You will help shape next-generation industrial platforms and driving engineering excellence across programs. You will collaborate with leaders across Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. This is a global role that requires technical depth and experience with building both products and people. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and Develop Teams: Manage and mentor a team of 15–20 hardware engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and growth; drive performance management, career development, and talent planning.
Drive Product Development Execution: Oversee all phases of hardware product development, including requirements, architecture, design, validation, certification, and production release; ensure designs meet quality, cost, and reliability targets.
