Job Description

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department.
Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other hotel systems.
Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Lead, guide, and train engineering team members.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, statutory requirements, and maintenance procedures.
Monitor energy and water consumption and implement conservation measures.
Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance requirements and guest-related concerns.
Manage engineering contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and inspections.
Monitor engineering-related expenses and support effective cost control.
Assist in renovation, refurbishment, and new engineering projects.
Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and identify potential maintenance issues.
Ensure proper inventory and availability of engineering tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Promote a safe working environment and ensure the team follows all safety procedures.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
Relevant experience in hotel engineering or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Good leadership and team-management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance-management systems.
