As Factorial's Engineering Manager, you'll lead teams but stay close to the hands-on work, deeply understand the domain, and focus on shipping things that actually matter. AI isn't a feature—it's changing how the product works, so you'll help rethink software from the ground up to support AI-powered workflows that help real businesses run better every day.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of product engineers, staying close to the work and domain while delivering impact
- Redesign software architecture to support agentic workflows and LLM-integrated features on our Ruby on Rails and React stack
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand real problems and ship solutions that matter
- Build and improve AI-powered workflows and probabilistic behaviors to make products more reliable and efficient
- Foster engineering growth, culture, and delivery velocity
What We're Looking For
- Energy and enthusiasm for working closely with the business, turning needs into concrete outcomes
- Experience growing engineers and leading teams with hands-on involvement
- Ability to apply AI as a practical tool to build better products faster, not as a buzzword
- Comfort with a Rails/React-based stack and a willingness to engage with AI/LLM features
- Strong communication, ownership, and collaboration across product and engineering
