About the Role This pipeline posting is limited to candidates who have completed a Caterpillar Students & Graduates assignment within the previous 24 months. Caterpillar's Corporate Engineering Intern program seeks students currently enrolled in a four-year university to work alongside engineering professionals to learn and apply themselves to project work within their teams. Interns will have assignments that provide them with experience and significant learning opportunities, and can network with management across the company to learn about Caterpillar areas outside their assigned team.

What You'll Do You'll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. The internship is a 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks. You can focus on building technical abilities in roles including (but not limited to): Ferrous Metallurgy, Failure Analysis, Quality Engineering, Heat Treat Engineering, and Product Development, providing materials engineering support to design engineers while you develop a broader knowledge of Caterpillar.

What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a four-year university with a engineering or related discipline and planning a career in materials engineering, metallurgy, or manufacturing. Interest in materials engineering and related disciplines; strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to commit to a full-time, 12-week internship (40 hours per week) and complete assignments in a professional environment. Comfortable working in factory/foundry settings and collaborating with internal teams; willingness to travel to supplier bases as needed.
