About the Role We are seeking an engineer to support the design of customized trucks in Volvo’s Market Adaptation Center and on the assembly line. You will translate customer requests into technically feasible solutions, coordinate with design, order planning, suppliers and sales engineers, and help ensure production is efficient and on time in a Lean manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Investigate and answer customer questions about technical concepts that are not offered as standard, including feasibility, cost price, lead time and legal compliance.
- Advise other departments on technical product solutions to adapt standard trucks to customer demand.
- Make independent decisions and take final responsibility for these concepts.
- Ensure optimal coordination and cooperation between design, order planning, suppliers, and sales engineers to produce designs efficiently and on time.
- Continuously polish your technical knowledge and keep product knowledge up to date. What We're Looking For
- Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field; additional knowledge in economics is a plus.
- Technical knowledge related to vehicles or the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team and build relationships; strong administrative, organizational and commercial skills; excellent networking skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and English; other languages are an advantage. Nice to Have
