Job title: Engineer / Senior Engineer – System CAE

About the Role Autoliv India is seeking a System CAE Engineer / Senior Engineer to drive system simulation activities and deliver high-quality meshing and analysis solutions for automotive safety systems. The role requires owning CAE deliverables, coordinating project activities, and collaborating with global teams to meet customer and business requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Execute and coordinate CAE activities related to system simulation projects.
  • Perform meshing and analysis tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understand project requirements and deliver work within agreed timelines; ensure high-quality and timely delivery of simulation and analysis results.
  • Use HyperMesh, LS-DYNA, Primer, and LS-Post for project execution.
  • Support system model setup activities and NCAPS-related simulations.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and project deliverables.
  • Participate in project reviews and incorporate feedback from account managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Support knowledge-sharing and training activities within the team.
  • Explore and adopt new simulation methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, ethics, and organizational values.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and support shift-based operations when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Automotive, Auto Ancillary, or Engineering Services industries.
  • Experience in Automotive Safety simulations.
  • Strong expertise in HyperMesh and LS-DYNA.
  • Working knowledge of Primer and LS-Post.
  • Knowledge of NCAPS and system model setup.
  • Product knowledge of seatbelts and airbags, including their functionality and applications (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for learning new tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Self-confidence, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Human Body Model (HBM) simulations (added advantage)
  • Programming and automation skills (preferred)
  • Experience with HBMs and related safety simulation workflows
