About the Role
The Software Developer/Engineer will gather requirements, prototype, design, develop, build, unit-test, document, and package software products for customers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, in collaboration with product management.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze and define requirements for new complex software functionality with input from product managers, customer feedback, and internal product development teams.
- Engineer and develop sustainable software systems through prototyping, clear software design, and participation in design reviews.
- Write clear, easy-to-maintain, high-quality code optimized for performance and memory usage.
- Write comprehensive design, functional and QA test documentation.
- Implement automated testing at unit and nightly regression framework levels.
- Validate correct software and hardware system operation.
- Provide assistance to technical support and product development teams as needed.
- What We're Looking For
- Academic degree in Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation Engineering or a comparable engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience developing commercial software products.
- Excellent development skills in Siemens PLC, TIA Portal V16+ or above, WinCC V7.5+ or above, with proficiency in VB scripting, C#, C/C++, XML.
- Strong, demonstrable object-oriented software development skills and ability to work constructively in a team environment.
- Experience with modern software engineering processes and methodologies; lifecycle stages.
- Knowledge of Windows Forms, WCF, WPF, SQL and database programming; hardware control/interfaces (serial, network, USB); GUI development; memory and performance optimization; data analysis/visualization; graphing tools; and parallel programming.
- Good written and oral communication skills; strong personal initiative and results orientation.

- Experience in pharma/biotech domain is a plus.
