About the Role Engineer III – Electro-mechanical will be part of Stanley Black & Decker's Power Tools Engineering team in a hybrid role (3 days in office) in Towson, MD. The role focuses on designing and developing electro-mechanical systems and motor controls, leveraging 3D modeling and detailed drawings, with BOMs and PLM documentation. What You'll Do
- Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and motor controls using 3D modeling and detailed drawings, managing BOMs and documentation in PLM systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Management, Industrial Design, Reliability, Compliance, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to define product requirements, Critical to Quality attributes, and ensure robust product development.
- Release comprehensive product specifications, RFQ packets, and costed BOMs; partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to realization. What We're Looking For
- Experience in electro-mechanical design and motor controls.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, detailed drawings, BOM management, and PLM systems.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to define product requirements and critical-to-quality attributes.
