About the Role Engineer II, Software Engineering at ASM International N.V. Kawasaki, Japan. The role focuses on designing and developing software for hardware control and communication with customers’ host systems, including device drivers and troubleshooting at customer/manufacturing sites.
You will define development specifications and create required engineering documents, and investigate faults to propose fixes and improvements. The role also involves reviewing customer requests and translating them into effective technical solutions. What You'll Do
- Design and develop application software, device drivers for hardware control, and communication software for customers’ host systems.
- Define development specifications and create required engineering documents.
- Investigate faults, defects, and bugs occurring at customer sites or manufacturing sites, and propose fixes and functional improvements.
- Review customer requests and specifications, and propose appropriate technical solutions. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong software engineering knowledge with programming experience in C, C++, and/or C#.
- Language requirements: Japanese Fluent, English Business level.
- Bachelor's degree (as indicated by the posting). Nice to Have
- Experience as a project leader or project manager.
- Experience in the semiconductor or FPD (Flat Panel Display) industry.
