About the Role Xylem is seeking an Engineer I in Chennai to create CAD drawings and 3D models for engineered products, collaborate with project engineers, and drive efficient product development. The role involves interpreting project requirements, designing clarifier systems, and maintaining documentation across ERP and modeling processes.
What You'll Do
- Create CAD Drawings and 3D models of Engineered Products, including overall layout, General Arrangement, Assembly and Fabrication Drawings for each project
- Read and understand complex design and drawing documents to meet project requirements
- Design Primary and Secondary Clarifier products referencing proposal documents, civil drawings, client GA, and site mark-ups
- Create Bills of Materials in ERP system
- Update model/GA drawings based on mark-ups and maintain project drawings for future reference
