Job Description

To design & development of Test Automation framework for verification and Validation of embedded firmware.

He / She Will be involved in executing projects on Vertiv’s Multiple product lines like AC Power, Thermal and DC Power. Responsible for developing test cases, performing feasibility analysis for automating the test cases, develop & execute the automation scripts. Being part of Global Engineering function, will be responsible to execute the assigned job and report as per the defined communication plan.

Job Specifications:

1. Bachelors Engineering degree in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation

2. Minimum 3 Years’ relevant experience into software test automation in various embedded system domains. At least 1 year experience in Java/Python.

3. Strong programming skills using Python, minimum 2 years’ experience in Python. Should be worked on at least 1 end to end automation project.

4. HIL knowledge required using Vector tools like VT System and CANoe. CAPL knowledge will be preferred.

5. Strong test automation experience for various embedded products which has web interface, HMI

6. Testing experience with communication interface & protocols i.e. RS 485, Modbus, CAN Open, Ethernet and TCP/IP, I2C, SPI is required

7. Strong debugging, Logical & Analytical skills.

8. Experience in building the embedded systems hardware test setups, troubleshooting hardware. schematic reading and understanding.

9. Hands on experience on software tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail.

10. Good Knowledge of C / OOPs, Python language is preferred

11. Prior experience on manual testing is preferred

12. Experience into Power domain is preferred

13. Able to self-aligned with project and organization goals

14. Excellent Interpersonal Skills and ability to work in team environment

15. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in power Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 3 to 4 years of experience in power electronics products/ module testing is required

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• Coordinate with production and product testing of new and existing product line.

• The primary responsibility is to focus on verifying reliability, spec and certification compliance of products as part of NPD.

• Need to work closely with the UL compliance and Reliability engineer to insure spec and reliability/integrity compliance of the product. Responsible for the software and hardware testing of communication power supply products, and responsible for the testing of communication power supply product modules (black box/white box) and system.

• Be able to ask questions and close them from a professional perspective and be ultimately responsible for the quality of communication power products.

• Responsible for the formulation of test stresses, test forms and test specifications for new functions of power supply products.

• Responsible for the maintenance and development of the communication power supply automation test program. Being part of Global Engineering Function, it is expected to follow the defined processes and adhere to defined communication plan.
