About the Role Step into a career with ASM as a Field Service Engineer in Taiwan (Kaohsiung). This early-career role offers exposure to a broader scope of service and process work with independence and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. The position requires creative problem solving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Travel (25-50%) and shift/on-call responsibilities are part of the role, and a valid driver’s license is required. What You'll Do
- Evaluate, understand and identify current customer needs, anticipate future needs, and build long-term sustainable relationships and solutions.
- Develop action plans for problem resolution and present them to internal and external customers.
- Maintain effective communication channels (phone, email, presentations) to facilitate efficient and consistent customer follow-up.
- Develop improvements for processes, hardware and software for continuous improvement of ASM equipment and business operations.
- Coach / mentor lower level Field Service Engineers to higher skill levels.
- Project manage new evaluations and ensure project success with the client.
- Lead new site start-up and perform planning/risk assessment for readiness/execution to achieve customer recognition and satisfaction.
- Define project scope and resource planning with BU; escalate gaps to Manager.
- Work independently on highly complex problems while meeting timelines and goals.
- Support CS, EE, Sales, and BU as a unified team to achieve site-based service success. What We're Looking For
- Ability to work in a team environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Bachelor Degree or above in an Engineering discipline.
- 0-3 or 4~8 years of technical experience with a deep business perspective.
- Willingness to perform shift work and on-call duties; travel 25-50% domestically and internationally.
- Valid driver's license.
- Independent problem-solving ability and strong collaboration skills. Nice to Have
