Job title: Engineer - Custom Truck Design (Market Adaptation Center)
About the Role Join our Market Adaptation Center as an Engineer responsible for translating customer needs into feasible, non-standard truck concepts and guiding the design and coordination across functions to meet customer specifications.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and answer customer questions about technical concepts not offered as standard, including technical feasibility, cost price, lead time, and legal compliance.
- Advise other departments on technical product solutions to adapt standard trucks to customer demand.
- Make independent decisions and take final responsibility for these concepts.
- Ensure optimal coordination and cooperation between design, order planning, suppliers, and sales engineers to produce the designs efficiently and on time.
- Continuously polish technical knowledge and keep product knowledge up-to-date.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field; additional knowledge in economics is a plus.
- Technical knowledge related to vehicles and/or knowledge of the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team; easily makes contacts and maintains good relationships.
- Administrative, organizational, and commercially skilled; excellent networking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; good knowledge of English (other languages are an advantage).
Nice to Have
- Additional knowledge in economics is a plus.
- Knowledge of other languages; experience with Lean Manufacturing is beneficial.
