What’s the role
Shell is seeking an Energy Trading Compliance Advisor (also known internally as Compliance Advisor) to join its team in San Diego, California. This role will report to the Head of Compliance Advisory, Shell Energy Americas.
This role will provide support for Shell Energy’s gas, power, and environmental products origination and trading businesses, as well as Shell Renewables and the B2B energy businesses, with a focus on the markets in the U.S west region and Canada.
This role will serve as the primary interface with commercial staff, including front-line traders and originators, operational staff, functional teams, and regional leadership, on regulatory compliance and policy-related matters, questions, and concerns. The ability to apply regulatory requirements and policy standards to a wide range of real-world scenarios is essential.
