Energy Sector Lead

Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's energy investment strategy across oil & gas, power, renewable energy, low-carbon technologies and related infrastructure.
- Originate and source high-quality investment opportunities through a strong network of energy-sector executives, developers, operators, investors, lenders/DFIs, advisors and regulators.
- Lead investment transactions end-to-end, including opportunity assessment, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and execution.
- Develop and evaluate investment theses, assess risk and returns, and present investment recommendations to senior management and the Investment Committee.
- Manage portfolio investments and work with portfolio companies on value creation, strategic growth, operational improvement and capital allocation.
- Lead and mentor investment professionals and contribute to the firm's fundraising, investor relations and market development activities.
- Present the firm's investment strategy to potential investors and build relationships with limited partners (LPs) to secure new capital.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. MBA, CFA or other relevant advanced qualification is an advantage.

15+ years' experience in private equity, investment banking, investment management or management consulting, with significant experience in the energy sector.

Proven track record of originating, structuring and executing complex investment transactions, preferably across energy, infrastructure or renewable energy.

Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and transaction structuring, including project finance and/or LBO modelling.

Strong network and proven ability to originate proprietary investment opportunities and manage senior-level stakeholders.

Excellent commercial, strategic, negotiation and communication skills, with demonstrated leadership experience.
