Job title: Energy Modelling and Planning Analyst
About the Role Lead modelling and analysis to support Eskom’s medium- to long-term investment and trading strategies, delivering robust energy planning capability and strategic insights. This role combines operational, economic and financial analysis with ongoing model development to adapt to evolving sector dynamics. The ideal candidate works autonomously while collaborating across functions in a cross-functional environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct modelling and analysis to support Eskom’s medium- and long-term investment and trading strategies.
- Provide medium- and long-term energy planning capability.
- Perform operational, economic and financial analysis.
- Conduct research on energy planning methods, develop new techniques and adapt appropriate methods and techniques.
- Maintain existing and new models based on specific model requirements and changed assumptions.
- Assess developments in the energy sector.
- Synthesize analysis findings and implications for Eskom to develop valuable insights and strategic recommendations to support Strategy and Planning.
