About the Role You’ll implement the Energy Isolation Program using SPS-101 standards and guidebooks as the foundational framework. You’ll help establish a robust Energy Isolation assurance process and collaborate with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to manage permits. What You'll Do
- Implement the Energy Isolation Program using SPS-101 standards and guidebooks as the foundational framework.
- Establish and manage the Energy Isolation assurance process, addressing gaps identified during audits.
- Participate in High-Risk Activity planning meetings related to energy isolation procedures.
- Ensure the approval process for proposed Energy Isolation procedures is properly implemented.
- Collaborate with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to develop and manage the Energy Isolation Permit process.
- Review Statements of Work, Methods of Procedure, and Scripts to identify all energy sources.
- Determine the need for group or individual LOTO and help establish a centralized LOTO system across site entities.
- Verify personnel qualifications, training, and PPE compliance for those performing energy isolation tasks.
- Delegate qualified alternates to assume responsibilities during multi-shift or peak energization periods.
- Ensure alignment with SPS-101 guidelines and maintain communication with site teams to support safe energy isolation practices.
- On-site at client site: work location is onsite with clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships. Some in-person time for collaboration is expected. What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in DC construction and commissioning standards and practices.
- Project management experience (bonus).
- Familiarity with multiple energy sources in data centers, with emphasis on electrical.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to audit site practices against written standards as part of an assurance role.
- Ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure LOTO design is effective. Nice to Have
- Bonus: Team player with ability to communicate complex technical solutions to engineers and non-engineers. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year (USD).
- Location: La Porte, IN; onsite with client sites; some in-person collaboration.
