About this role
About the Role Join Alstom as a Traction Mechanical CAD Designer within the DMU (Digital Mock-Up) environment. You will develop design solutions across their lifecycle, from specification to production support and industrial validation, in a collaborative engineering site context. The role reports to the Site Mechanical Domain Leader and works with internal and external stakeholders on train installations and interfaces. What You'll Do
- Deliver design solutions (installations), including designing and pre-dimensioning main parts interfaces; design main parts when design authority is with you; integrate 3D parts and drawings; produce associated drawings and metadata; perform peer reviews of CAD work from other sites when relevant; and conduct internal stack-up analyses as needed.
- Maintain and communicate Space Allocation Model (SAM) in accordance with maturation rules; create annotated SAM for supplier exchanges; verify supplier feedback against SAM; produce weight information; instruct Engineering Change Requests and execute Engineering changes in the relevant scope.
- Support concurrent engineering with industrials, internal/external suppliers; assist with subsystem-level dimensional stack-up analyses; provide production support (back-office and shop floor); participate in First Mounting Review and identify any mock-ups required for work verification. What We're Looking For
- Mandatory: Advanced technician certificate.
- Mandatory: 3D Modelling, drawing/FTA creation.
- Mandatory: Design experience in heavy industry.
- Desirable: Railway industry experience.
- Competencies & Skills: English basics (read/write) for technical meetings; PLM4A / CATIA V6.
