Job title: Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Associate Attorney - Junior
About the Role Join Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) group as a junior associate in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Palo Alto. You will support representation of innovative companies through formation, financing, and M&A, as well as the funds that invest in them, while working with experienced practitioners on national-level matters.
What You'll Do
- Support and contribute to ECVC engagements across business formation, financing transactions, and mergers & acquisitions for startups and venture funds.
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates across the Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Palo Alto offices on sophisticated matters at a national level.
- Assist with deal execution, due diligence, drafting, client communications, and related documentation.
- Apply quantitative analysis and Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis as needed.
What We're Looking For
- At least four years of relevant experience, preferably at a comparable law firm.
- Stellar academic credentials and references.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Quantitative and Excel skills preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with startup formation, financing, and M&A in ECVC matters.
- Ability to work across multiple offices and collaborate in a national practice.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $235,000 to $260,000 annually (USD).
