About the Role The Emergency Services Paramedic delivers basic patient care, provides comfort measures, maintains the patient care environment, and reports patient responses to the appropriate licensed staff member. As a member of the collaborative practice team, the Paramedic renders EMS under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse, and only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department. What You'll Do
- Deliver basic patient care, provide comfort measures, maintain the patient environment, and report responses to licensed staff.
- Perform emergency medical services under physician/RN direction in the ED or during patient transfer between departments.
- Collaborate with the respiratory transport team and other caregivers to ensure safe, timely care.
- Comply with the Ohio Public Safety Rule and hospital policies during transport and care. What We're Looking For
- Education: HSD/GED required.
- Certification/Licensure: State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required.
- CPR/BLS required.
- PALS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
- ACLS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
- EVOC preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license, minimum age 21, and eligibility for hospital insurance coverage. Nice to Have
