Job title: Emergency Services Paramedic - ALS Transport (Part Time)
About the Role The Emergency Services Paramedic delivers basic patient care, provides comfort measures, maintains the patient care environment, and reports patient responses to the licensed staff. The Paramedic is a member of the collaborative practice team and renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule; the Paramedic may perform emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician and only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department.
What You'll Do
- Deliver basic patient care, provide comfort measures, maintain the patient care environment, and report patient responses to licensed staff.
- Perform emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician, and only in the ED or while moving a patient between the ED and another department.
- Be part of a collaborative practice team and comply with Ohio Public Safety Rule.
What We're Looking For
- Education: GED/HSD required.
- Certification/Licensure: State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required; CPR/BLS required.
- Additional: PALS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire; ACLS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire; EVOC preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire.
- Other: Valid Ohio driver's license; minimum age 21; eligibility for coverage under hospital's insurance policy.
- Education Requirements: GED, High School (Required)
- Certification/License Requirements: BLS, CPR, Ohio Paramedic Certification
Nice to Have
- EVOC, ACLS, PALS are preferred at hire; required within specified timeframes as noted above.
