About the Role Emergency Services Care Assistant - Unit Secretary for the Pediatrics Acute Care Center, based in Arlington Heights, IL. This role provides basic nursing or secretary support on the assigned unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse, delivering care appropriate to patients of all ages and coordinating communication across the care team. What You'll Do

  • May perform basic nursing care or secretary work in the same shift on the assigned nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of all patients served.
  • Assists in coordinating communication and resources between the care team, physicians, patients and family members. What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma required or 5 years’ experience as CNA/PCT with at least 3 years’ minimum experience in an acute care setting.
  • Completion of an Accredited Certified Nursing Assistant course, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation.
  • Data entry or order entry experience on a computer preferred.
  • Current CPR certification from American Heart Association. Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay range: $18.84 - $27.32 (USD)
