About the Role Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking on-site Emergency Medical Technicians/First Responders (PRN) to provide safety monitoring and immediate Basic Life Support (BLS) during United States Postal Inspection Service fitness examinations. This role focuses on on-site medical oversight, rapid response to incidents, and coordination with the medical oversight team. Schedule is event-based with three-hour blocks at various locations as needed.

What You'll Do

• Set Up and Break Down: Prepare and dismantle testing environments at assigned locations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Health Monitoring: Monitor applicant health status during testing activities, responding promptly to medical incidents.
• Medical Care: Assess and monitor participants for signs of distress or injury, provide first aid and basic emergency care (e.g., CPR, bleeding control, splinting), request 911 onsite support if needed and provide care until arrival.
• First Aid Kit Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain the readiness of the first aid kit, ensuring all supplies are stocked and up to date.
• Incident Documentation: Document all medical incidents thoroughly and coordinate follow-up actions with the program’s medical oversight team to ensure comprehensive care and reporting.
• Safety Implementation: Assist in implementing preventative measures and conducting safety checks before and during testing to minimize risks and enhance applicant safety.
• Schedule & Travel: Sessions are scheduled in three-hour blocks with EMT typically working three hours per event; travel up to 0-10% may be required.

What We're Looking For

• Current state EMT-B certification is required.
• 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Knowledge base: strong knowledge of injury prevention, physical exertion risks, and relevant treatment protocols.
• Interpersonal Skills: ability to maintain a calm demeanor and demonstrate strong decision-making under pressure.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Compensation & Benefits

• The total hourly pay is $35.82 per hour for up to 40 hours per week, composed of a base rate of $30.78 plus $5.04 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) as required by Service Contract Labor Standards regulations.
