About the Role Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician/First Responder (PRN) to provide on-site safety monitoring and immediate BLS response during USPIS physical fitness exams. The EMT will support a safe testing environment and deliver basic emergency care as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Set Up and Break Down testing environments at assigned locations to ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor applicant health status during testing activities and respond promptly to any medical incidents.
  • Medical Care: Assess and monitor for distress or injury, provide first aid and basic emergency care (e.g., CPR, bleeding control, splinting), request onsite support if needed, and provide care until arrival.
  • First Aid Kit Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain first aid kit readiness and stocked supplies.
  • Incident Documentation: Document all medical incidents thoroughly and coordinate follow-up actions with the program's medical oversight team.
  • Safety Implementation: Assist in implementing preventative measures and safety checks before and during testing to minimize risks.
  • Sessions are scheduled in three-hour blocks, with EMT typically working three hours per event. Travel requirements may range from 0-10%.

What We're Looking For

  • Certification: Current state EMT-B certification.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
  • BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge Base: Strong knowledge of injury prevention, physical exertion risks, and relevant treatment protocols.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $35.87 per hour for up to 40 hours per week (base $30.78 + $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare).
  • Schedule: On-site PRN positions with sessions in three-hour blocks.
  • Benefits: 401K with company match.
